Therapy

My focus is working towards change.

Deciding to start therapy is the first step on the road to change.

Change is about understanding your own patterns of behaviour and learning new ways to deal with the difficulties life often throws at us. Leaning how to make these changes enables you to deal with any issues in your life, using a whole new skill set and a new sense of self-worth and self-empowerment.

There are times when everyone needs somebody to listen.

As a Psychotherapist I listen objectively, with acceptance and without judgement. I provide the space to explore your feelings and understand all the choices you have, which we often can't see at times of stress. I like to work with my clients towards gaining new perspectives in order to make changes and see ones own value. This leads ultimately to clients trusting themselves and therefore being able make  good choices for themselves in the future.

I offer tailor made therapy in order to meet each of my clients needs, regardless of the issue. I believe the Integrative approach allows me to do this with flexibility,  using all the disciplines that Psychotherapy has to offer.  With this approach therapy can be fluid, allowing  my clients to continue to  grow and evolve, using the tools they have learnt with me during the time we have spent together.

Relationships

Relationships can be difficult, I work with my clients towards resolving conflict between not only spouses and partners, but also other family members, as well as issues in the work place and/or socially.  Resolution can be achieved with or without the other person in the room.

Coaching
Coaching can deal with problems in both work and personal life and works in much the same way as Counselling.  I  focus on helping my clients find triggers and solutions to whatever the issue is.  This can be done in as little as 3 sessions.

Students

Working at Barnet Young Peoples Services for 7 years, I noticed that there was a growing number of students who were experiencing anxiety and fears due to transitioning to either college or university. The students I have worked with have found coaching and therapy  very beneficial.

Dogs

I also work with people who would like to leave their fear of dogs at the door.
